KEYHOLE SCARF

This scarf was inspired by a vintage scarf that I used to own. It is easy and quick, warm and soft. Best of all (and unlike longer scarves), it can be tucked into a bag or jacket pocket when not needed.

SUPPLIES:
1 skein Bernat Soft Boucle (actually uses much less than a full skein)Size J crochet hook

GAUGE: not important
Note: Chain 2 at beginning of rows does not count as hdc.

Chain 100 loosely.

Row 1: Work hdc in 3rd chain from hook and in next 17 ch (18 hdc); work sc in next 8 ch; hdc across until last 26 ch; sc in next 8 ch, hdc in nect 18 ch. Ch 2, turn.

Rows 2 & 3: Working in back loop only, follow established pattern across (hdc in hdc, sc in sc). Ch 2, turn.

Row 4: Working in back loop only, hdc in next 18 hdc; chain 8 and skip the 8 sc; resume working in established pattern to end. Ch 2, turn.

Row 5: Working in back loop only, follow established pattern until you reach the 10 ch. Work 1 sc in each ch; resume pattern to end. Ch 2, turn.

Rows 6 & 7: Repeat Rows 2 & 3.

End off and weave in ends.

    1. Row 5 should say 8 CH not 10 CH. You do 18 hdc then 8 sc, one in each CH, then 48 hdc the 8 sc, one in each CH, then 18 hdc CH 2 and turn. Hope that helps you. God bless!
